SensorData is helping shape the
future for cheap, zero-emission flights

Electric and hybrid-electric propulsion is revolutionizing the aircraft industry. At Collins Aerospace – a unit of United Technologies Corp (UTC) – the industry’s most advanced electric power systems lab called “The Grid” built in Rockford, Illinois. This lab is instrumental in developing and testing a high-power generator for testing the next generation of electric aircraft.
Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney and UTC’s research center came together to re-engine and fly a Bombardier Dash 8-100 aircraft dubbed “Project 804”, powered by a 2 megawatt—class hybrid-electric propulsion system. SensorData was tasked with developing a specially designed torque sensors for the projects dynamic energy measurement.
Regarding state-of-the-art measurements, SensorData Technologies is the trusted partner by the worlds most innovative companies like UTC, Collins Aerospace, and Pratt & Whitney.
